Claire Faulkner SENIOR IMMIGRATION ADVISER | LAWYER | REGISTERED MIGRATION AGENT

Claire Faulkner is a senior immigration adviser, lawyer and registered migration agent with a mixed specialisation of both refugee and family sponsored migration law. Claire’s assiduous work on her clients’ matters and persuasive submission writing has enabled clients from many backgrounds to obtain protection in Australia, including clients from Turkey, Sri Lanka, India, Nepal, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iran, Iraq, Kuwait, and several African countries. Her particular interest lies in gender-based persecution.

Claire also has an interest in complex partner visa applications, including cases where applicants may no longer hold valid visas, be in immigration detention or have difficulty evidencing the history of their relationship. She also assists clients with complex family law issues to reunite them with their family members.

Claire regularly represents clients at both the primary application stage before the Department of Home Affairs and at the review stage before the Administrative Appeals Tribunal and the Immigration Assessment Authority.

In 2018, Claire was nominated for the John Gibson AM award for the Young Australian Migration Lawyer Of The Year
